Grief cannot be rushed. Gaman teaches: (1) do not perform recovery — you do not owe anyone a timeline for when you should be 'over it,' (2) carry the weight one day at a time — gaman is not about carrying grief forever, it is about carrying today's portion of it, and (3) let the grief change you — you will not be the same person on the other side. That is not damage. That is the work of being alive.
