Omoiyari teaches: (1) before commenting, consider the human who will read it — would you say this to their face?, (2) if you disagree, disagree with the idea, not the person — omoiyari never attacks, and (3) sometimes the most empathetic response to a post is to scroll past it — not everything requires your opinion.
