Hygge wraps you in blankets and candles and asks you to feel cosy. Wabi-sabi sits you in a room with bare walls and a cracked bowl and asks you to feel beauty. Hygge is warmth. Wabi-sabi is truth. Hygge says: make yourself comfortable. Wabi-sabi says: make yourself honest. Both are valuable. They are not the same thing.
