Anxiety lives in the future — the fear of what might happen, the dread of what you cannot control. Japanese philosophy offers three anchors: mono no aware (accept that things will change — fighting impermanence is the root of anxiety), ma (create space in your day for the mind to settle), and shōganai (release what you cannot control and redirect your energy toward what you can). These are not cures. They are companions.
