Shōganai (しょうがない) means 'it cannot be helped' — the acceptance that some things are beyond your control. It is not resignation. It is clarity: energy spent fighting what cannot be changed is energy taken from what can. Shōganai frees you to focus on what is within your power, and to release, with grace, what is not.
